Kerry Smith is the award winning Cake Maker & Cake Artist behind The Berkshire Bakesmith. Starting out as a hobby baker making cakes for family and friends for several years, Kerry went on to launch a successful cake making business in Kent in 2012 called Fairybake. The business was relaunched in 2017 as The Berkshire Bakesmith following a relocation to Berkshire. Kerry is now happily designing and creating beautiful and delicious cakes from her kitchen in Winnersh, Wokingham.
The Berkshire Bakesmith is fully insured and registered with Wokingham Borough Council, with a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating.
The Berkshire Bakesmith is proud to have been feautured on Bride Magazine and in Your Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wedding, featured by the superblogger that is Honest Mum (www.honestmum.com) and to have been runner up in Little Ankle Biters Berks Awards 2018 and 2019 in the category of Best Children's Entertainer. In 2019, The Berkshire Bakesmith was chosen by Theo Paphitis as one of his select group of SBS (Small Business Sunday) winners. The Berkshire Bakesmith is also one of the Preferred Wedding Cake Suppliers of Hilton St Anne's Manor, Bracknell. In October 2020, The Berkshire Bakesmith's work featured on Channel 4 on Sunday Brunch, with a bespoke cake commissioned by Stand Up To Cancer for comedian James Acaster. Kerry has also appeared on BBC Radio Berkshire. In 2021, The Berkshire Bakesmith was a semi finalist in The Baking Industry Awards in the category for Celebration Cake Business of the Year.
